Curating children's imagination
Documenting children's work is storytelling from the first spark, invitation, or random inspiration to a full learning journey, celebrating their creativity. Through photo and video, I share how I interpret the children's expressions and give a platfrom to their voice and ideas. Following the Reggio Emilia Approach, I believe children communicate in 100s of languages and it is my job to faciliate them with materials, space, and encouragement.
I document in various ways including notes, photos, video, and audio. I use a mix of platforms including Google Slides, Powerpoint, Canva, Freeform, and Adobe Procreate from observation to finished pieces. I believe in making my work accessible and easy to collaborate with within my department, and simplistic and clear for publishing.Â
